The best way I can explain it is starch is used to keep the food together. Have you heard people say they need something to “Stick to their ribs”. Let’s take white rice for instance it sticks together, maybe even to the pot when you cook it verses a natural grain like quinoa. When you make quinoa the grains is not sticky, it doesn’t stick to the pot and it does stick to you. All of that starch starts to clog up your system. Bowel movements are the key to a disease free body. What goes in must come out, if things sit, they start to fester. So as for the potatoes, yam and green banana you mentioned “I wouldn’t eat them” As for the alkaline water, coconut water is even better than alkaline water, in my opinion. It is packed with electrolytes and has double the oxygen that regular water has and it is alkaline.
Also, I have never nor have I anyone I know, known of anyone who was too alkaline. It sounds like one of those things they say to get you discouraged like “don’t drink too much water”
But I do know a guy in California who is a naturalist and hasn’t eating anything for over 25 years. He has been on an alkaline drinking fast and is in perfect health and his body looks like a sculpture.

I cross reference alkaline charts with natural foods list because they are every changing and sometimes conflicting. I have a list of natural foods from Ahsha Ahla, a healer I know personally(who has cured brain cancer, aids and a list of other things) with the list that came from I have gotten from Maa and Dr. Sebi’s camp. Because the lists have changed I stick with the older natural foods list because I know they work. I may take something off the list but I am not really adding things, to me less is more. Humans are the only creatures who eat a variety of food; every thing else in nature just eats their natural food. As far as the ph and the alkaline charts. I start with my natural foods list and if it is on my list and on the chart I rock with it and as far as hybrids you can get an idea, obviously we don’t eat seedless fruit because nature doesn’t produce seedless fruit. Then usually if you see something that is a yellow version of a green fruit or vegetable I go with the green ie. Limes over lemons, zucchini over yellow squash. Also you will start to be able to judge food by the texture and consistency like for instance brown rice and white rice vs black rice and wild rice.
Less is more, keep it simple and stick to the basics!
Naturalist way of eating also as a preparation for discarding tobacco....If carbohydrates and dairyproduce and flour and sugar can be put aside, then hopefully, with the same attitude, it will be posssible to put aside tobacco.
In thoery that thought helps.
Thanks for inspiring deepening interest in naturalst food.
