When I was about 21 I started my spiritual journey as well. It was really complicated at first because my family members and people thought I was ‘different’. It’s always good to surround yourself around supportive friends because they can all help you with your evolution and keep things in perspective.

I like the fact that you reflected oh those who can be ‘suppressive’ personalities. From my observations, I came to the conclusion that people are usually happy and content with you when you match their energy frequency, but become ‘suppressive’ when your energy evolves higher. Many do this on a subconscious level, but are activated by your growth and can become negative in their reactions. Therefore, they feel the need to suppress your potential to bring you back down to their level. In these cases, I think it’s healthy to ‘let go’ or shift into a new environment or group of friends who can shift their energy into your same frequency. If not that, be around people who have the respect and honor your spirutal growth.

I agree its all about becoming aware that these things are going to arise in your life when you start a spiritual journey and changing your friends or groups of people you are around most of the time is an excellent way to deal with these suppresive personalities. Always look for people who are supportive of what you are doing and dont expect nothing in return for their support.
@Magic. Yeah bro its really needed now to reach out to the youth, spirituality isnt just for grown folks anymore its for everyone especially the youth! The younger you start the better you can understand life and less time is wasted wondering what to do with your life.
