You might be confusing ascension with the rapture. Ascension has nothing to do with a god saving you. Ascension is when you take your consciousness and you go straight up to heaven, without really dying. I know you come from the israelite point of view so I will try and stay within the bible. THe only prophets to ever ascend(not die) was really Christ, Enoch, and Elisha. Note Melchizdek also ascended but he is on a different level I never compare him to anybody else. Only the most gifted amongst us ascend, in a way you really become an angel. Rapture is really more about the ancients or what you would call angels returning to earth. Ascension is a gift that most people will not really ever achieve because it is more like you becoming an angel.
As for the rapture or ancients returning. Different groups of ancients/angels have different goals. Some are going to take their children back to their place of origin, some might use their children to build an empire on earth. You might not believe in the sumerian text but abraham was a sumerian, The heavens at least through sumerian eyes right now is divided between the two brothers Enlil and Enki/Enqi. Both sides have two different agendas for their children on earth. My advice to anyone would be this lets say you believe in both right. You think the messiah or the angels are coming back for you, but then you also think that you can ascend like christ, enoch, and Elisha did. It is not hard to do both.
The rapture deals with following and learning your laws and cleaning your heart. This does not conflict with ascension that deals with increasing your energy out put that you produce in your body. To increase your energy out put which is really the holy spirit or breath of god, you have to eat and electricial diet, you have to learn advanced breathing techniques, and you have to learn what are the things that drain your energy. Technology, metal, negative thoughts are some of the things that drain your energy.

I have a question regarding ancients and ascention. Many religions are expecting their God to return and set things straight in the world. Which God or entity is not my focus in asking this question. My question is, what is the purpose of ascention if the ancients are to return, set us free and make things right in the world? Or, what is the purpose of the ancients returning to earth if we are to ascend. How is it possible to have both?
