Discussion > Qabbalistic Cross

Why is it in the qabbalistic cross ritual that when you're pointing down and saying malkuth, that most versions stop at the solar plexus instead of going all the way down to the root chakra? From my understanding, on the body malkuth corresponds with the first chakra.

Ok. I just did some reading and I think I answered my own question. The points hod and netsah aid in the connecting of the two lower chakras or the points yesod and malkuth to the solar plexus/tifferet. Right? Still why not stop at Malkuth and connect it that way? I've seen a couple versions go down to malkuth. What's the difference if any between pointing down to tifferet and pointing down to malkuth?

I know there are different versions of rituals out there and most come down to preference. I just wonder if it's some sort of energy related reason as to why tifferet and not malkuth while saying malkuth when forming the cross.
